Similar to how this picture reminds us of a fable. And the rush to get 'all the rewards' without thinking of the consequences to the long game.
I came across this article (see comments) about how some Nuns are using an investments strategy to make social impact at Fortune 500 companies.
Yes, you read that right...
NOT your typical Catholic impact story.
And yet, it shows:
✅ creativity,
✅ a long-game perspective,
✅ a focus on core values, and
✅ a clear strategy (the HOW to obtain the WHAT).
While we have sad news this week also, I'm heartened by the resilience of the overall organization. The long-game is clearly the focus. And, that while flawed (as all human organizations are) progress is still made and lives are still made better.
